  Calm and serenity Colon Hydrotherapy

    What is Colon Hydrotherapy?

Colon Hydrotherapy helps to dislodge fecal matter trapped in the pockets and folds of the colon, giving you more energy.

Colon Hydrotherapy cleans the entire 5 feet of the colon through a series of treatments. Compare this to an enema that cleanses only the lower 8 to 12 inches of the bowel.

    How does that benefit me?

"Colon Hydrotherapy removes toxins, cleanses the blood, stimulates the immune system and aids in restoring the pH balance in the body", says Connie Allred, President of the American Colon Therapy Association.

    Do I need Colon Hydrotherapy?

Many healthcare practitioners include Colon Hydrotherapy to help relieve a wide range of symptoms related to colon dysfunction including:

  • Backache
  • Headache & Sinus Congestion
  • Bad Breath & Coated Tounge
  • Indigestion, Gas & Bloating
  • Constipation
  • Lung Congestion
  • Skin Problems (Rash, Acne)
  • Loss of Concentration
  • Fatigue
  • Lack of Blood Flow

Colon Therapy is most effective when used in conjection with alternative therapies such as chiropractic, acupuncture, homeopathy and nutrition to give you more energy.

    How Much is Too Much?

1. It is not uncommon for an adult in the USA to have 8 to 30 lbs of old fecal matter trapped in their colon.

2. Fecal matter pile up and dries out along the walls and in the folds of the colon reducing the squeezing motion of the colon resulting in a narrower tube for excreting fecal matter. Also it becomes more difficult to move the fecal matter out on a regular basis - the squeezing motion is lost.

3. The walls of the colon sometimes stetch resulting in big "pockets" of old trapped fecal matter.

What Should I Expect at My Colon Hydrotherapy Session?

Plan to be at the office for an hour. Normally it takes 10 minutes to undress and get prepared, 40 minutes for the therapy session, and 10 minutes in the bathroom getting ready to leave.

In a typical session, a trained colon hydrotherapist gradually introduces filtered water into the body that goes directly to the colon in order to remove old fecal matter and gases that have been built up over time. The water is released through a clear tube so you can watch your progress. A new sterile disposable applicator is used for each patient at each visit.

Although colon hydrotherapy is usually a soothing and refreshing experience, during the first few sessions some people retain water and may feel bloated. You have a decrease or increase in bowel movements. The processs of moving old trapped fecal matter releases a minimal amount of old toxins into the colon and can bring about a temporary "healing crisis."

Electrolytes may be lost during treatment so it is advised to have a mineral drink shortly before or after your treatment. Before and after a colon therapy session your meals should be gentle and nourishing food such as vegetable soup, fruit or vegetable juices.

    How Many Sessions?

It all depends on you. How much waste/feces do you have stored? How much fiber is in your diet? Your current and past emotional levels? Your daily habits of eliminating - have you been taking the time?
